Definition
No chart is stored: the preset draws the conifold TRANSITION -- a family of profiles across the node at delta = 0, assembled from several surfaces in one mesh -- so the row is a one-parameter family of surfaces rather than one surface with a chart. The shipped implementation is authoritative; an unverified transcription would silently define a different surface.
